Google recently launched its own Facebook, Twitter competition in the form of Buzz but watchdogs have said the site may be breaking privacy laws. To create a strong customer base Google has included accounts for all GMail customers, something they may not have agreed to and currently no option to opt out.
This comes after recent criticism that Buzz used recently sent emails from users GMail accounts to create a friend list for the user prompting more concerns about privacy and security. As with all social networking sites they’re pushing the boundaries of data protection and confidentiality and offered apologies when they over step the mark.
